ADAM BLAZEVIC
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Adam is a gravel privateer. Adam is the winner of multiple UCI Gravel World Series rounds during the 2022 season. Adam was introduced to cycling through his Dad at a young age where he started racing on a mountain bike at local races. Through his early cycling years, Adam combined mountainbiking, cyclocross and road racing which assisted with his early development. From there the passion for racing grew and Adam moved onto racing all of the National Mountain Bike Rounds within Australia through his U15 and U17 years.
During the 2016 season Adam won both the National Cyclocross and Marathon Mountain Bike National titles in the U19 category. This same season saw Adam race internationally in Europe for the first time, competing at multiple UCI World Cup Cyclocross races and also the Cyclocross World Championships. In 2017/2018 Adam completed another European cyclocross season similar to the season he completed in 2016/2017, once again finishing this season with the World Championships held in Denmark for 2017. Through 2019-2021 Adam switched focus to racing more on the road with the National Road Series in Australia with the Giant Racing team.
In 2022, Adam switched focus to gravel racing as this was the first year that the UCI had become involved with the discipline. He dedicated his season to racing the majority of the UCI Gravel World Series through Europe and Australia, with his season finishing at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Italy. Adam won multiple UCI Gravel World Series rounds, was on the podium at another round and established himself as the top rider within the UCI series.
Outside of cycling Adam is studying Mechanical Engineering at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He is also involved with motorsport around his race schedule which aligns with his interests in mechanical engineering. Along with this he is passionate about content creation, in particular photography and videography.
Engineering
Outside cycling Adam is studying Mechanical Engineering at RMIT University in Melbourne. In conjuntion with his studies he has a passion for product design, CAD design and CNC machining. Through 2020 he set up a business called AB Racing specialising in CNC machined cooling solutions for radio controlled cars.
Along with this, his passion for motorsport inspires some of his CAD design work. One of his key areas of interest is vehicle dynamics and suspension design where he has also worked in the FSAE RMIT team designing suspension components for their race car.
